Our Club Philosophy
Nations FC exists to provide high quality training and playing opportunities for players that otherwise might not have access to club level soccer.
Founded with the commitment to our families and our faith, Nations FC seeks to protect our families time and financial resources through our tournament and friendly match choices.
We fight to protect our Sunday mornings by limiting friendly matches to Saturdays, while occasionally playing on a weekday or Sunday afternoon. By choosing 3 local tournaments each fall and spring, we limit Sunday morning matches to a maximum of six days each season. No player or family will ever be penalized or pressured to play on a Sunday as a member of Nations FC.
Nations FC prides itself on the community we have built. Encouraging friendship and comradery amongst players and families alike. Families and fans of the club commit to conducting themselves with civility and support from the sidelines. Sideline parent coaching and referee abuse is not tolerated within Nations FC, as we teach our players to show dignity and respect by treating all players, referees, coaches and fans as they would like to be treated.
Our Coaching Philosophy
Coaches for Nations FC strive to make our training sessions challenging, fun, and safe. Our players will be pushed to go beyond their perceived limits, while setting and reaching goals at every practice and game.
Nations FC offers high quality age and skill level appropriate training experience and the opportunity to earn playing time in tournaments throughout the season. Effort, focus and individual improvement will be determining factors for playing time, along with performance during intra-club and outside friendly matches.
While training together, age divisions with multiple teams will be divided based on skill and level of development. From Division 1 to Division 3, Nations FC enters tournaments and selects friendly matches at the appropriate level for each team. No player within an age group will be limited on their ability to move between teams, as coaches will determine placement based on performance, effort and the needs of the player/team.
Player development takes dedication on and off the field. With an expectation of parent/player commitment to practices twice a week, individual effort at home accelerates player growth. Our coaches are available to give resources and suggestions for individual home-based training and fitness.
Financial Aid
Commitment to excellence on and off the field is a distinguishing characteristic of Nations FC, and we believe all players with a love for the game should have access to this experience without the hindrance of the financial constraints. Nations FC overcomes this hurdle by offering financial aid through scholarships to many of our players. From registration fees, to uniform fees or even tournament fees, we know that every family in our community faces different financial situations and different needs, we also realize that circumstances can change throughout a season. As a generous community of players and families, we encourage and require formal requests for financial aid and are here to support players in need of assistance. Nations FC never wants a developing player to miss out on an opportunity to excel due to financial hardship.
Our Vision
Providing a pathway for accessibility to excellence in soccer for those that may not be able to participate beyond recreational programs due to financial constraints. We seek to develop kids’ ability to make good decisions on the field, and more importantly, in life.
Our Mission
To impact lives through the sport of soccer. We recognize the importance of team sports in the development of children and the inherent benefits of team work, community, fair play, inclusion and collaboration for a purpose bigger than self.
