EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR AND FOUNDER

It is impossible to not live and breathe futbol when you are born in Leeds, England. In his youth, as an English transplant to Baltimore, Richard brought his love for the beautiful game and his skills as a decorated defender and goalie to the highly competitive East Coast region through club soccer and ODP teams.

After settling in Tennessee with his wife and 5 children, his passion for the game fueled him to pursue coaching. Realizing fundamental differences between youth soccer in England, and the current "pay to play" club model in the US, Richard wanted to do something different. He founded Nations Football Club with the goal of providing high quality training and competition for youth that might otherwise be overlooked due to financial constraints.

For Richard this sport is more than a game, and Nations FC is the outflow of his passion, talent and faith.

"As coaches we have unique access to the development of our youth. Not just the development of their athletic skills, but more importantly development of their character. Learning the skills on and off the field will inevitably include dealing with adversity, conflict, success, teamwork and relationships. We aren't just investing in future soccer stars, we are investing in future doctors, lawyers, and teachers."
